Nomadic Bike Service

A New Model For Bike Repair

Some of us know about rivers, some of us know about food, some of us know about websites. Bert Erwin, founder of Nomadic Bike Service, knows about bikes. His expertise is backed by 25 years of experince and a deep DEEP love for biking. After working for at a handful of bikes shops over the last two decades, Burt took the leap of faith into starting his own repair shop. That is when he reached out to us over at Slanted to help him develop the branding, website and art direction for this new biz.

Versatility and Mobility

This business may be based in Bozeman but Bert has big plans to take the van to different biking towns all across the west and help repair bikes no matter where the shop is parked. We knew the branding needed to fit into the Bozeman bike scene but it also needed to be versatile enough to appeal to bike enthusiasts in other places like Tuscon, AZ and Joshua Tree, CA as well.

Inspiration

This business is so...well...nomadic...

We took inspirations from a compass for the logo mark. For brand colors we started with the base color of the Nomadic Ford transit Van, a dark grey. We wanted a super limited color pallet that would stand out against the dark grey of the van. Pulling color inspiration from the red-orange sands of Moab, we landed on this burnt orange that really pops.
